Ken Arkind is a badass poet whose writing has helped to form slam poetry as we know it.  His talent as an author is challenged only by his own ability to turn people on to the writing of others.  He is the host and founder of Pretty Boys School of Public Speaking, which meets every Tuesday at around 7 PM at Common Grounds Coffee House on 17th & Wazee.  He is also a perennial member of the Denver Mercury Cafe Poetry Slam Team, which won Slam Nationals in 2006.
