2) we're throwing the festies on the website starting now...so check in regularly to see prices and sign up. To give you an idea, Sasquatch! at the Gorge in Seattle is gonna be 225/person (with 18 people). And most of the rest are right in that 220-230 range (with 18 people) Camp Bisco in New York is gonna be probably the most expensive one at 330 (with 18 people), because for a trek like that, we HAVE to have 2 drivers, and we have to cover our overhead for an extra couple days...plus the obvious extra diesel costs. The calendar will be updated at www.thebasicsfund.org/events and sign up will be available online within the next few days.

3) Diesel Powered Poetry. This ain't no sissy-ass poetry reading where you cry about lame shit. It's Diesel, honey, and we crack open skulls with insight and change the way you think about language from the font of the bus. After last week's reading, we've already been called the best poetry venue in Colorado...and it wasn't even me or Charlie saying that.

The reading is currently held on the first friday of every month in sync with our Bus Party from Boulder to the Santa Fe ArtDistrict for the Art Walk. We get started around 10 or so, and go for an hour. If you've never been to First Friday, you have to check it out. 4 blocks of galleries in Denver open up with amazing local and international artists and serve wine and beer for about 8 - 10 thousand people.

4) If you don't already know, our long time homey and bus enthusiast, Charlie Kern AKA Chester Rochester, who's been in it since before the beginning, has finally landed himself back in Boulder to carry on the torch of Captain of the SS Worland Warriors Bus. He's doing it just how I did last summer, living in the back bunk, breathing, sleeping, eating, drinking bus 24 hours a day. And of course, he's fully licensed and legal and sober to take you cats from A to B. Also, if you notice the bus is looking and running particularly well lately, yeah, thank Charlie for that. He's breathing new life into this project, and as much as I hate to admit it, he's cooler, smarter and better looking than me, and he knows more about music....he's in a sick band and everything. I will still be driving as needed, and riding as often as I can, but the torch has been passed, y'all. Charlie's yer new man.

Alright kiddies, that's all the news for the time being. Thanks as always for supporting The Basics Fund, and keeping the roads safe, and having a blast all at the same time.

Love with every chamber of my 4-chambered heart...

Dustin
