Sonic Bloom Bus and DJ Schedule

Posted: 12:00 AM, Wed, Jun 23 2010

The Basics Fund Presents:  Bus to Show Bus Schedule for Sonic Bloom 2010.

On board DJs include: SPECTRE, Coult 45, Ben Samples, Evan Lanoil, Ghetto Sexual, Jasper, Citrus, Khyanasun, Alert, Noah Deep, and Chris Scahel as well as several other guest musicians.

Please note that we will do our best to adhere to the times posted on schedule, however drivers will be focused on the safety of the ride above all things.

Here's how you can help make sure everything runs smoothly.

  1. Show up at the bus stop early.  Please don't expect to be able to get on the last possible bus that is scheduled to arrive at The Mish 5 minutes before the act that you came to see.  If you really want to see a certain act.  Come to the bus stop as early as possible before they go on, to improve your chances of being there on time.
  2. Not to be redundant, but please show up at the bus stop early.  There are plenty of buses available as long as not everyone shows up right before the main headliners come on expecting to get a ride.  There are world class musicians playing from 6 PM till the breaka-breaka dawn on a world-class sound system next to the glorious Poudre River.  We even have live performances on the early buses to pied-piper you up the hill.  Sonic Bloom happens once per year.  Go see it all.
  3. When you show up at the bus stop, please make sure you have everyone and everything with you before boarding the bus.  The buses will not be waiting around this year for people to get on.  They will also not be waiting for your boyfriend/girlfriend who just had to run and get something or pee real quick.   Have them get something and/or pee and then come to the bus stop.
  4. Don't freak out.  We have 7 buses on duty at 1.5 hours per lap divided between 2 stops, buses will arrive at each pick up point Approximately every 20-30 minutes.  You will get there.  Please make this pleasant for everyone by being pleasant to everyone.  This is a team effort, and like it or not, you're on the team.  Please cooperate.
  5. No glass on board and pick up your trash.  It never ceases to amaze me how we provide service for hettiest, earthiest, greenest-seeming, most spiritually in-tune people on the planet, and yet after each load we drop off, you can hear glass bottles clinking around on the floor and see trash tucked into the seats.  What the hell?  Don't do that.  Represent your music and lifestyle in every action.  Bottles break when the roll around on bus floors and crash into metal seat posts.  When glass breaks it is sharp and can cut people.  Don't bring glass on the buses.  Be considerate of those who will be riding after you, which includes yourself on the way back down the hill.  If the driver has to stop and clean the entire bus after each lap, there is no way we will get everyone where they are going in time.  You have the power to make this run smoothly.  TAKE YOUR TRASH WITH YOU.  THERE ARE RECYCLING AND TRASH RECEPTICLES AT THE MISH AND AT THE BUS STOPS.
  6. Don't exit or enter through the emergency exits of the bus.  This is extremely dangerous, not to mention selfish.  There will be security present at all stops, and they will be denying festival entry to anyone entering or exiting the bus through the emergency exits.  Those doors are reserved for actual emergencies only.
  7. 3 to a Seat.  Capacity on these buses is 66 people.  Everyone must be seated before the bus will move.  Expect to be sitting 3 to a seat.
  8. In short, Be the change you wish to see on the bus (and leave the change you wish to see in your bus driver, in his/her tip jar).
